Bagi umat Muslim, nabi adalah sosok yang sangat dihormati dan dijadikan panutan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Nama-nama nabi pun selalu disebutkan dalam doa dan dzikir. Namun, bagaimana jika kita ingin menyebutkan nama-nama nabi dalam bahasa Inggris?
1. Nabi Adam
The first prophet in Islam is Adam, or in Arabic, Nabi Adam. In English, his name is simply Adam. He is believed to be the first human created by Allah SWT and the father of all mankind.
2. Nabi Idris
The second prophet is Idris, or in English, Enoch. He is known for his wisdom and knowledge, and is mentioned in the Quran as a prophet who was elevated to a high rank by Allah SWT.
3. Nabi Nuh
The third prophet is Nuh, or in English, Noah. He is known for building an ark to save his family and the animals from a great flood, which was a punishment from Allah SWT for the sins of the people at that time.
4. Nabi Hud
The fourth prophet is Hud, or in English, Hood. He was sent to the people of ‘Ad, who were known for their strength and wealth, but also for their arrogance and rebellion against Allah SWT.
5. Nabi Shaleh
The fifth prophet is Shaleh, or in English, Saleh. He was sent to the people of Thamud, who were known for their skills in carving houses out of rocks. However, they too were arrogant and refused to follow the teachings of Allah SWT.
6. Nabi Ibrahim
The sixth prophet is Ibrahim, or in English, Abraham. He is known as the father of the prophets, and is revered by Muslims, Christians, and Jews alike. He was tested by Allah SWT in many ways, including being asked to sacrifice his son Ismail.
7. Nabi Luth
The seventh prophet is Luth, or in English, Lot. He was sent to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, who were known for their immorality and sinfulness. He warned them to repent, but they refused, and were ultimately destroyed by Allah SWT.
8. Nabi Ismail
The eighth prophet is Ismail, or in English, Ishmael. He was the son of Ibrahim and his wife Hajar, and is considered to be the father of the Arab people.
9. Nabi Ishaq
The ninth prophet is Ishaq, or in English, Isaac. He was the son of Ibrahim and his wife Sarah, and is considered to be the father of the Jews.
10. Nabi Ya’qub
The tenth prophet is Ya’qub, or in English, Jacob. He was the son of Ishaq, and is known for his piety and patience. He had twelve sons, who became the twelve tribes of Israel.
11. Nabi Yusuf
The eleventh prophet is Yusuf, or in English, Joseph. He was the son of Ya’qub, and is known for his beauty and wisdom. He was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, but eventually rose to a high position in Egypt.
12. Nabi Ayyub
The twelfth prophet is Ayyub, or in English, Job. He was known for his patience and faith in Allah SWT, even when he was afflicted with many hardships and illnesses.
13. Nabi Shuaib
The thirteenth prophet is Shuaib, or in English, Jethro. He was sent to the people of Madyan, who were known for their dishonesty and cheating in business. He taught them the importance of honesty and fairness.
14. Nabi Musa
The fourteenth prophet is Musa, or in English, Moses. He is known as the liberator of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, and is revered by Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike.
15. Nabi Harun
The fifteenth prophet is Harun, or in English, Aaron. He was the brother of Musa, and was appointed as his helper and spokesperson by Allah SWT.
16. Nabi Daud
The sixteenth prophet is Daud, or in English, David. He was known for his bravery and skill in battle, and is also known for his beautiful psalms and hymns of praise to Allah SWT.
17. Nabi Sulaiman
The seventeenth prophet is Sulaiman, or in English, Solomon. He was known for his wisdom and wealth, and is also known for his ability to communicate with animals and jinn.
18. Nabi Ilyas
The eighteenth prophet is Ilyas, or in English, Elijah. He was known for his miracles and his struggle against the idolatry of the people of Israel.
19. Nabi Ilyasa
The nineteenth prophet is Ilyasa, or in English, Elisha. He was the disciple and successor of Ilyas, and also performed many miracles.
20. Nabi Muhammad
The final and most important prophet is Muhammad, or in English, Muhammad. He was born in Mecca in 570 CE, and received the revelation of the Quran from Allah SWT through the angel Gabriel. He is considered to be the seal of the prophets and the last messenger of Allah SWT to humanity.
